A white goods, metals and e-waste collection event will be held for Lanai residents at the Pulama Lanai Fleet Yard from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, the county’s Department of Environmental Management announced.

Residents can drop off their items including refrigerators, freezers, stoves, washers, dryers, water heaters, air conditioners, tires, batteries, appliances, metal, propane tanks, televisions, computers, printers, copiers and monitors. Home delivery is free; business and commercial accounts will be charged.

Residents must be prepared to unload their own items. Staff will be available to help with large items that require a forklift.

Maui County will also be towing a limited amount of junk cars in partnership with Pulama Lanai through Friday. The Pulama Lanai facilities office will offer a vehicle disposal form which must be returned to the office by Friday. To be towed or recovered, all vehicles must be free of trash and debris. To request a form or for more information on unwanted vehicle disposal, call (808) 565-3974.

For more information on metal recycling, call Refrigerant Recycling Inc. at (808) 351-3504.

For more information on electronics recycling, call the county’s e-cycling hotline at (808) 280-6460.

For more information on Saturday’s collection event, call the county’s Abandoned Vehicle and Metals office at (808) 270-6102.
