Moore moved into second in the resumption of overtime when Trevor Huddleston and Jake Drew made contact as they battled for second place. That opened the door for Moore to move past to earn his career-best West Series result.
“Honestly, we were probably a fourth-place car tonight,” Moore said. “On the green, white, checkered, Trevor spun (his tires) past me, I stayed in it and got into him and the guys in second and third, kind of pushed them out of the way. We did it on green, white, checkerboard. The second is actually really good for what we had.
Austin Herzog came third for Bill McAnally Racing ahead of Drew and PJ Pedroncelli.
Rounding out the top 10 are Huddleston, Takuma Koga, Sebastian Arias, Todd Souza and Joey Iest.
