Typically, your home schooling program must meet your school district’s preliminary training requirements to earn a high school diploma. This will allow us to review your entire file as a home schooled student in the context of the academic requirements described above. Read more
If you are a resident of New York State and have received home schooling, a transcript outlining all completed courses with grades achieved is required. You must also submit a letter from the superintendent of your school district or the senior administrator of the comparable school certifying that you have completed the equivalent of a four-year high school program in New York State through the home schooling for no credit check loans.
If you are a senior who is currently completing a home schooling program, you must submit a letter from your school district superintendent certifying that you are currently completing a program equivalent to a four-year high school program at the NYS. Once completed, please send a letter confirming that you have successfully completed the program.
If you cannot get the letter from the high school district, you must get a high school equivalency diploma. See the High School Equivalency section below.
If you are an out-of-state resident who received home schooling, a state-issued diploma is required. If you have not obtained a state-issued diploma, you must obtain your high school equivalency diploma. (for more information on how to get a high school equivalency score)
